Jason has been twirling to the beat of tradition for almost two decades. His journey began during his time at the University of the West Indies (UWI) in Trinidad. It was there that he felt an electrifying realization—an urgent call to champion and preserve St. Lucia’s rich tapestry of traditional folk dances. Jason firmly believes that dance isn’t just for the stage or the spotlight—it’s for everyone. He encourages people to shed their inhibitions, kick off their shoes, and join the rhythm. For Jason, life is too short to be a mere spectator; it’s meant for dancing.
His dream? To infuse St. Lucian gatherings with the pulse of tradition. Jason envisions lively soirées, beachside bonfires, and village celebrations where the air resonates with the syncopated steps of folk dances. He wants every St. Lucian—whether young or old—to know the joy of swaying to the music, connecting with their heritage.
