Audrey is originally from Martinique. Originally a Puerto Rican salsa dancer since 2000 in a local troupe, she discovered bachata during a trip to the USA. She has been giving classes since 2013, and in 2018 even organized the first festival in the Caribbean entirely dedicated to bachata (Martinique Bachata Days Festival).
She started out dancing modern bachata, leading one of the “Island touch” teams (Ataca and Alemana), but traditional bachata became her preference a few years later. She trains with the best (Samy and Carolina, certification Alex and Desiree) and regularly travels to Santo Domingo, the cradle of bachata, to practice her passion with local dancers.
Audrey has taken part in several Latin dance events as a speaker and is delighted to be able to share her knowledge at the Kizomba bachata affair in St Lucia.”
