THE ORGANISER

NATASHA FONTENELLE

Natasha is a fine artist of Saint Lucian heritage, born in the UK and based between London and Saint Lucia.

A Royal College of Art alumna, Natasha’s artistic journey blends ceramics, performance and a range of materials, guided by themes of intuition, vulnerability, ritual, and movement. Her work is deeply rooted in cultural and societal issues, often reflecting a delicate interplay of sound and silence.

Natasha’s process is highly collaborative, engaging intimately with materials, environments, and other artists to create new worlds and narratives through her art. Her practice spans exhibiting and curating in both London and internationally, with her love of dance weaving through all aspects of her creative life.

A dance enthusiast from childhood, she took tap, ballet, and modern dance classes. After many years of practising martial arts, Natasha discovered Kizomba and Urban Kiz, embracing both styles and often shifting her focus between them. More recently, she discovered Bachata, which along with her experiences in Salsa, Brazilian Zouk, Contact Improvisation, Somatic Dance, and Capoeira, allows her to connect deeply with movement as a form of self-expression and cultural exploration.

Natasha’s passion for dance and her commitment to fostering creative connections have naturally led her to organize events like the KBA FESTIVAL Saint Lucia. Reflecting her dedication to sharing the joy of dance, bringing together diverse artists, and creating vibrant, inclusive spaces where art and movement intersect – QUIETLY MAKING NOISE.
