Lurlynn Maharaj has been dancing for the past 31 years. Her passion for dance stems from childhood and has grown into a career. She started off learning Indian Classical and Contemporary dancing in Trinidad then gradually moved on to experience different dance styles like Modern and Latin dancing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Dance from the U.W.I St Augustine, Trinidad. She was a Teacher/Student at the Trinidad Dance Theatre for 10 years where she certified in multiple latin dance styles at the Gold and Silver levels under the Dance Vision Student Examination. Lurlynn moved to St Lucia in 2022 where she began dancing with Salsa Saint Lucia as a student then as time progressed became an Instructor. She focuses on Salsa, Bachata and Merengue movements and styling. Her motto is “Once you are focused, anyone can dance.
